The arts are everywhere in the Westside. So is the talent, the cooking, the history, the people worth knowing. Poetic Neighbor gathers all of it in one place and turns knowing each other into the power to change things.
When neighbors know neighbors, word travels. When word travels, we show up: to the block party and to the planning commission. That's the whole idea.
Who We Are & What We Believe
Poetic Neighbor is a Black-owned creative community rooted in the Historic Westside of Las Vegas, one of the city's oldest and most culturally significant Black neighborhoods. We work at the intersection of art, food, media, and community organizing to keep the Westside connected, visible, and in control of its own future.
We believe the people who live in a neighborhood should get to shape it. We believe culture is worth protecting, that local artists deserve a stage close to home, and that a community that knows itself is one that shows up for itself.
